DRAWING STEAK
I began my drawing streak on January 1st, 2022, making this my longest running project yet.
If I'm being honest, for the first week I had no clue this would be an actual "streak". It was only until the 10th day, where I was eating dinner with my sister and frantically realized "It's 6 PM and I haven't posted yet!?" that I decided to commit to drawing daily until I could not any longer. I draw way too much in general— even before this I posted a lot of art on my personal account— but I am not lying when I say I always draw things "day-of!"
Maybe a reflection like this is too sentimental. A lot of people hardly remember that I'm running this gimmick... But it makes me proud to say I am truly dedicated to keep something like this running.
Anywho, some milestones...
FIRST POST: I never actually came back to redraw this composition for some reason? Well, I thought it was really awesome when I posted it, but now that I see it again it's very littered with errors.
DAY 365: First anniversary post, It compiles all the art I drew for that year, which is well over 365 drawings... The drawing on the very bottom-right is lost, by the way. I haven't been able to recover it, but I like the pink.
DAY 576: My most liked post to date, At the time, I was joking with a friend on call after class that it wasn't going to be very successful, maybe 1K at best... When I got on the bus to go home it was already at 9K!
DAY 730: Second anniversary post, Once again compiles all the art for the year. I had a lot of ups and downs, so even seeing the progression of hard days through my art makes me shiver. I drew less this year, but man, was this my strongest year...
DAY 771: Uh... I don't like to talk about this one... It's my second most successful post, but banged way harder on TikTok and got featured in a ton of "meme-compilations" without my knowledge. To this day I get DMs of people saying "Ha Ha Your Art" and linking to some Facebook post of my drawing being spread again. I hope one day someone will Tattoo it on themselves (not).
This page is still a work-in-progress, so I will add and edit things as I see fit.
